The Australian version of TIYL made its debut in 1975 on the Seven Network. The program was an immediate ratings success, running for five years. During this time, three hosts held the book: Mike Willesee, Digby Wolfe, and Roger Clipson. In 1990, the show returned to Australian television, hosted by Mike Munro, who is still at the helm. Among the famous names that have been profiled in Australia are actor Rod Taylor, designer Richard Tyler, and sports figures Evonne Goolagong Cawley, John Newcombe and Greg Norman.
